The Earned Income Tax Credit - EITC or EIC - is a benefit for working people who earn income from an employer or their own business. The benefit can reduce the amount of tax you owe or give you a cash refund. To qualify you must file a tax return, even if you don't owe any tax or are not required to file.
You can't claim the EITC if your filing status is Married Filing Separately. And income limits and rules for qualifying children apply. But ezTaxReturn will help guide you through the qualifying process.
To qualify, your Earned Income and Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) for tax year 2024 must be less than the limits in the following table. And your investment income cannot exceed $3500.
